Private Mentorship with Shams-Tabriz

Initiatory guidance for the ones being called into who they are.

The Recognition

You may have arrived here already knowing, and not yet able to say it aloud — that something in your life is asking to become larger than the life you have built to hold it.

Perhaps it comes as a calling that keeps returning no matter how many times you set it down. Perhaps it comes as a difficulty — a relationship ending, a chapter closing, a ground that has shifted beneath you — and underneath the difficulty, almost quietly, a sense that you are being moved somewhere you have not yet been. Perhaps it is simply a feeling that there is more in you than your days have made room for.

You are not broken, and this is not repair. You are a soul arriving at a threshold. And thresholds are not meant to be crossed alone — they are crossed in the company of someone who has crossed them before.

That is what this is.

What This Is

This is not coaching, and it is not therapy. It is initiation — the oldest form of guidance there is — one soul walking beside another through a passage it cannot make by itself.

I do not work from templates, because you are not one. I work from what I see in you and from what is trying to come forward through you. Each round of this work is shaped entirely around the person in front of me — your nature, your gifts, the particular threshold you are standing at, and the life you are being called to live on the other side of it.

Some who come to me lead companies and teams. Some lead through their healing, their teaching, their art. Others lead more quietly — as a parent, as a partner, as the one in the room others somehow turn toward without quite knowing why. And many do not call themselves leaders at all when they arrive. They come carrying a difficulty, a threshold, a question they have not been able to put down — and the leadership reveals itself later, as the soul remembers who it is and finds it can no longer live small.

Leadership, in the way I mean it, is not a title. It is what a life becomes when a soul stops apologizing for the size of what it carries. However you have found your way here — however you were meant to find me — if something in you knows it is time, you are in the right place.

How the Work Unfolds

The work begins with a journey of twelve weeks — one conversation a week, eighty minutes, the two of us, by Zoom. In that time we go far. We do not manage your life; we go to the root of it — to the gifts that have been waiting, the patterns that have run you, the calling that has been pressing against the walls of the life you built.

Twelve weeks is the commitment, and it is enough to change the ground you stand on. For those who feel called to continue the work beyond it, that path remains open — but it is never assumed. We begin with these twelve weeks, and we give them everything.

For some, in time, the work calls for days together in person — at Shamayin, the center in Bali. When that moment comes, we both know it.

On Beginning

This is not a small thing to step into, and I will not pretend otherwise. It asks a great deal of you — your time, your presence, your readiness to commit to yourself at a level most people never reach. It is, in every sense, significant. I take only a small number of people into this work at any time, and it is meant for those who are truly ready to begin.

I will never reduce what happens here to a figure on a page. What this asks of you is something I will speak with you about, simply and honestly, when we sit together — the way two people speak when they are deciding whether to walk a road side by side. That is what the first conversation is for.

This same work is available, by conversation, for teams, for families, and for couples who wish to walk it together.

A Few Words

About Shams-Tabriz

I was given my name at birth — named into the lineage of Rumi’s companion, the one who came to ignite rather than to instruct. I did not set out to become a teacher of this work; I was taught by those who carried it, and over years it became the thing I am most here to do: to sit with a soul, to see it clearly, and to walk with it through its becoming. I live and work between Bali and the world, and Shamayin — the center in Uluwatu — is where the deepest of this work takes place in person.

The Invitation

If something in you has known, for a while now, that it is time — let that knowing speak.

A conversation commits you to nothing.
