You keep splitting yourself into pieces and asking which one belongs in a career. The leader part, the healer part, the teacher part—you examine each one separately, wondering which is the real gift and which is just something you do on the side, something that doesn’t count toward the life you’re supposed to be building. You’re looking for the one pure thread that will prove you were meant for this.

The 113 has a different message. It’s not about finding the single right thing. It’s about the waste happening in your hands right now—the way you’ve kept every gift you carry locked in a dark drawer, sorted by how much you believe in it, and how much that sorting is costing you.

A hand in the drawer

Picture a drawer, deep and wooden, pulled open in a room where the light doesn’t quite reach it. Inside are coins—dozens of them, all real currency, all able to buy something, but they’re separated. Some are tarnished dark, some are bright enough to catch what little light falls on them. A hand reaches in, and it’s your hand, and you’re doing what you’ve done a hundred times: picking up each coin, turning it over, setting it back in its own small space, making sure the bright ones don’t touch the dull ones, making sure each kind stays with its kind.

But this is not actually about coins, and you know it. This is about the gifts you were born with—the different ways you can see a person, understand a system, move energy, teach, hold, heal. This is about how you’ve learned to believe that some of these are valuable and some are not. That some are the “real” work and some are just the things you do when nobody’s paying attention.

Why you keep sorting instead of spending

You were taught early—not always in words, but in the way opportunities were shaped around you, the way certain gifts were praised and others were redirected—that a life has one currency, one shape, one clear purpose. Everything else is distraction. A teacher doesn’t also heal. A leader doesn’t also make art. A healer doesn’t also strategize. So you learned to look at your hands and ask: which one is the real me? And because you couldn’t choose, because all of it felt true and necessary, you put them away. You kept them in the drawer, separate, safe from the exposure of being wrong about any of them.

The 113 shows you something else: the coins in that drawer have never stopped being currency. The tarnished one spends just as well as the bright one. But you’ve been holding them as if their value depends on how they look—on how much you believe in them, on how much the world has validated them, on whether anyone asked for that particular gift today. So they sit there, unused, and you go out into the world with your hands empty, wondering why you feel small.

How to stop sorting and start moving

The work here is simple and it will feel terrifying: you’re going to reach into that drawer and pull out two coins at once. Not because you’ve figured out which one is real. Not because you’ve convinced yourself they’re equally valuable. Just because both of them exist in your hand, and a hand holding two kinds of currency is still a hand that can trade.

This is the 113’s whole message—three ones in a line, each one separate and complete, and yet they spell something together that neither one spells alone. You’re a leader who also heals. You’re a healer who also teaches. You’re a teacher who also sees systems other people miss. You’re a strategic mind who also knows how to hold a person. These are not contradictions. They are the actual shape of what you are. The career you’re looking for is not the one that fits your biggest gift—it’s the one that lets you spend all of them.

If you’re working with a therapist or trusted advisor on the doubt itself, keep going—real help for real struggle is never weakness, and a spiritual understanding of what you carry is never a reason to skip the care you deserve. But alongside that, start noticing: where in your actual work right now could you bring the gift you’ve been keeping separate? Where could you lead differently because you also heal? Where could you teach differently because you also see? The coins don’t have to wait until you’re sure. They just have to move.

What runs through your mind What’s actually true
If I use all of my gifts at once, I’ll confuse people about what I actually do The exact confusion you’re afraid of is what makes you irreplaceable; people don’t forget someone who moves in three dimensions
I should pick one gift and get really good at it, instead of splitting my attention You’re not splitting your attention—you’re refusing to move at all; the moment you bring the whole of yourself, the work deepens
One of these gifts must be the ‘real’ one and the others are just what I do when I’m not working Every coin is real currency; you’ve been kept from spending them because you keep waiting for permission to spend them all at once

A little help, while you’re here

  • In the next conversation with a client, colleague, or person you’re meant to help, lead with the gift you usually hide—the one you think is less professional, less ‘real,’ less relevant—and notice what opens
  • Write down three concrete ways your ‘side’ gifts have actually solved a problem in your main work; post the list where you see it daily
  • Choose one project or relationship at work and intentionally use two of your gifts together, not separately, in the exact same moment, without announcing that you’re doing it

The coins in circulation

There’s a moment that comes—not when you’re certain, but when you’re tired of waiting to be—when you simply reach into the drawer and use what’s there. The tarnished coins spend. The bright ones spend. Together they buy something neither one could buy alone. That’s not confusion about what you are. That’s clarity.

The 113 is telling you that the waste was never in having multiple gifts. The waste was in the sorting, the separating, the long dark holding. Your hand was made for spending, and spending means using them all—the leadership and the healing, the teaching and the seeing, the strategy and the tenderness. All of it, in the same life, in the same work, in the same breath. Not someday when you’re sure. Now. The currency you hold is already real. It always was.

Start spending.
