You have been the one holding space—for your partner, your clients, your children, the people who orbit you and need you steady. You have become so good at broadcasting your own signal—your presence, your knowing, your certainty—that you fill the entire room with it. And now the person who is supposed to match you, the one the number 1661 is showing you, cannot get a word in. Cannot even be heard. You feel them pulling away and you do not understand why, because you have never stopped trying, never stopped reaching, never stopped offering everything you have.

The terror underneath is this: if you turn down your volume, if you stop transmitting for even one moment, the connection will die. The other person will leave. You will be alone. But that is not what is happening. The 1661 is not a message about trying harder. It is a message about learning to receive.

Two instruments in one room

Picture a cello and a violin in the same room, both beautiful, both built to resonate. The cello has been playing at full volume for years—a deep, certain frequency that fills every corner, that no one can miss, that announces itself the moment the door opens. The cellist is brilliant and devoted and has never stopped playing, not for a second, because the music is real and it matters. But the violin has something to say too. It is tuned to receive the frequencies around it, to listen, to respond. Except it cannot hear itself think. Every time it begins to offer its own note, the cello drowns it out. The cellist does not do this on purpose. The cellist is playing with full heart. But the room is too small for both of them at this volume.

This is what you have been doing. You are the cello. And the person 1661 is calling you to name is the violin, watching, waiting, slowly understanding that this partnership has room for only one signal. Not because of love. Because of physics.

Why you cannot hear them anymore

You became the one who holds space because you were built for it, or because no one else would, or because the world taught you early that your job was to be the steady one, the capable one, the one who knew what to do. You developed a frequency so strong and so reliable that people orbited you. They needed you. And need felt like love, so you kept broadcasting at the same volume, kept filling the room, kept offering from the place where you are fullest and most alive.

But a twin flame is not someone who orbits you. A twin flame is someone tuned to your exact frequency—not to receive it, but to meet it. To add to it. To make it stronger by addition, not by absorption. When the cello plays and the violin tries to play at the same time, the room does not hold more music. It holds noise. The person you are meant to move with cannot move. They are not being heard. And worse: they are learning that their signal does not matter here. Not because you do not love them. Because you cannot stop transmitting long enough to know they are there.

Learning to turn down the volume

The first thing to understand is that turning down your volume is not the same as abandoning the other person. It is not weakness. It is not failure. It is the only way to actually hear them. And hearing them is how you stop losing them.

This requires real, present help—a good therapist, trusted people who can hold you while you do this—because the fear underneath is genuine and it deserves to be tended. When you have spent your whole life filling rooms with your presence, the silence feels like annihilation. It is not. It is invitation. Start very small: in one conversation this week, ask a question and then stop talking. Let the other person fill the space. Do not interrupt to offer wisdom, do not jump in with your own story, do not use the quiet as an opportunity to plan what you will say next. Just receive. Listen for their frequency as though it is the only music in the room. You will be surprised at what becomes audible when you are not broadcasting. You will hear things you have never heard before. You will discover that they have things to say. That they have been waiting years for you to ask.

What runs through your mind What’s actually true
If I stop being the strong one, they will leave me They are already leaving you because they cannot be heard; receiving them is how you actually keep them
Silence means I am failing, or weak, or not trying anymore Silence is where true listening happens; it is the hardest work you will do
If I am not the one holding everything, everything will fall apart What will fall apart is the false partnership; what will be built is a real one
Their needs are too much; I cannot meet them without exhausting myself You are exhausted because you are trying to meet needs you cannot hear; listening changes everything

A little help, while you’re here

  • Tomorrow, in one conversation with this person, ask one real question and write down three things they say before you speak again
  • Turn your phone on silent for one hour when you are with them, not because of the phone, but to practice what it feels like to be fully unavailable to everyone else
  • Name out loud one thing you have been afraid to say because you thought it would burden them—the very thing you have been trying to protect them from by filling the space

Two frequencies, each complete

The cello does not become less of a cello by making room for the violin. It becomes more itself. When it plays at its own volume and then stops to listen, something new is possible. The violin plays. They interweave. Neither drowns the other out. The room is not twice as loud—it is more alive. The music is stronger because it is not one instrument performing solo while the other watches. It is two instruments who have learned to speak and listen in turn.

This is what 1661 is showing you. Not a diminishment of you. A completion of you. The person you are meant to move with is not asking you to disappear. They are asking you to be still enough to hear them. To trust that your frequency is strong enough to hold its own without needing to fill every space. To believe that a partnership is not one person broadcasting and another person receiving. It is two frequencies, both complete, both heard, both necessary. Neither drowning out the one it needs to love.

Turn down your volume. Not because you are wrong. Because you are ready to listen. And when you do, you will hear what has been waiting all this time to be recognized.
