You have stopped. Not paused — stopped. The work that once moved through you like something inevitable now feels like you are pulling it from a dry well, and you have begun to believe that the well itself ran empty, that the gift or the calling or the simple capacity to hold people changed its mind about you. The fear underneath is not that you lost something; it is that you were never actually carrying it in the first place, and now you know.

That is not what happened. The source did not close. The passage did.

The Kinked Hose

Picture a garden hose running from the spigot — the one turned fully on, the pressure behind it constant and sure. The hose lies in the yard and the water comes, but somewhere along its length it has been bent back on itself, kinked so sharply that the flow cannot move through. At the nozzle end, nothing comes. The spigot is still running. The source has not weakened. But to any person standing at the end holding the nozzle, the water has stopped. The pressure is there, behind the bend, building and unused, and to someone who does not see the kink, it looks as though the flow has died.

Then someone straightens the hose. Not by force. Just by following its length and releasing the bend, letting it return to what it naturally wants to be. And the moment the passage opens — the same moment, no delay — the pressure that was never absent rushes through, and a person would swear the source just woke up. It did not. It was always awake. Only the channel had to change.

Why the obstruction formed, and when

You did not lose what you were carrying. You bent yourself to fit somewhere — a room that was too small, a hand that did not want to be held by you, a standard you could not meet without folding your spine. You bent, and the bend made sense at the time. It might have saved you. But a bend that protects in one season becomes a kink in the next, and the pressure that was flowing toward you — toward your work, your teaching, your healing, your simple presence — hit that bend and could not move past it. So you felt it die. You felt yourself die. And you began to believe that you were never actually the kind of person who carried this particular flow.

The number 3443 appears now because you are approaching the moment when the straightening has to happen, when staying bent costs more than standing costs, when the kink itself has become the danger. This is not a summons to become someone new. This is a number that says: you have been carrying this the whole time. The obstruction was never proof that the source stopped sending. It was only proof that the passage was blocked.

How to let the hose straighten without breaking it

The straightening does not happen by force, and I need you to hear this because you will want to yank yourself back to what you were, to prove something, to make up time. Do not. A hose straightened under pressure tears. You follow the length of it slowly, finding where the bend is sharpest — the place where you bent most severely — and you release that place first. You may need help. A good therapist, a trusted person who knows the architecture of your spine, a healer who can see where you folded — these are not weakness and they are not optional. They are the hands that know how to straighten something without breaking it. The water does not move faster because you want it to. It moves at the speed of the passage opening.

There is grief in this. You will feel what you have been carrying that you could not feel when you were bent — the weight of it, the steadiness of it, the fact that it was there the whole time you thought you were empty. Hold that grief. It is the proof that you were never actually alone, never actually unsupported, never actually without calling. The source was running toward you through a closed passage, and now the passage is learning to be open.

What runs through your mind What’s actually true
If I had what it took, I wouldn’t have stopped. You didn’t stop because you lacked capacity. You stopped because you bent, and a bent passage cannot receive. The capacity was never the question.
This many months without it means I’m not built for it. A hose with a kink delivers no water. It does not mean the hose was never a channel. It means the passage needed straightening.
If I take this on again and fail, I’ll know for sure I was never meant to carry it. The pressure you feel returning is the source confirming you were always meant. The fear is just the hose learning to be straight again.
Everyone else kept going. Only I broke. You did not break. You bent. And a bend is what allows a person to survive in a space too small. You were wise. Now you are ready for a larger space.

A little help, while you’re here

  • Identify one person — a therapist, a mentor, a friend who sees you clearly — and tell them exactly what you stopped carrying and why. Do not ask permission to restart. Ask: what do you see about why I bent? This is not seeking validation. It is gathering the hands that know how to straighten.
  • Spend fifteen minutes following your own spine. Not stretching — noticing. Where do you fold? Neck, shoulders, low back, solar plexus? Where does your body still believe it has to make itself smaller? Touch that place. It is not broken. It is remembering how to be straight.
  • Write down one specific piece of the work you stopped — one paragraph you did not finish writing, one person you stopped calling, one hour you used to hold but don’t anymore — and read it aloud to yourself. This is not punishment. This is recognizing that the work was real, the calling was real, and the only thing that changed was the passage.

The Source Never Stopped Sending

The water is moving through you right now. Not tomorrow when you are ready, not when you have done enough therapy or prayed enough or proven something — now. The source does not wait for you to deserve it. It was never about deserving. It was about passage. And you are straightening.

You will feel that pressure return, and it will feel like everything all at once — the weight of what you are carrying, the steadiness of it, the fact that it was always there, the time you did not use it. Let it move through. Do not dam it up with shame or gratitude or the need to make up for the months you were bent. Just let it be the simple fact: the hose is straight now. The water is coming. The source never stopped sending; only the channel had to change.

This is what 3443 is here to tell you. Not that you are broken and must be fixed. Not that you failed and must prove yourself again. Only that you were never actually empty. You were only kinked. And the straightening has already begun.
