You are feeling a force move through your body that your life on the surface does not yet reflect — a charge in your sexuality that is not about wanting more sex, and not about feeling broken, but about something waking up inside you that has no place to go, no language, no permission. You teach, you hold others, you are composed — and underneath, currents are beginning to move that nobody around you can see, and you are asking yourself whether this is spiritual awakening or whether you are losing the plot entirely.

It is neither. What is happening to you is real, it is necessary, and it is not a sign that you need fixing or that your spirituality is going sideways. The force moving through you is exactly the depth that makes you capable of the work you do. The question is not whether it is happening — it is. The question is how to let it move through you without it consuming everything, without it taking you offline, without it becoming the only thing you can think about when you are supposed to be teaching someone else’s soul.

The water that heats unseen

Picture a pot of water on the stove. To anyone standing in the kitchen, nothing is happening — the surface is calm, the water looks exactly as it always has, cool and ordinary and still. But beneath the surface, where no one can see, the heat has been applied. Deep down, the currents have already begun to move. Invisible currents rise from the bottom, not yet reaching the top, not yet visible as steam or movement. The water is changing — it is being transformed — but the transformation is entirely below the waterline. Someone walking past would see an ordinary pot and think: nothing is happening here.

But you are inside the pot. You feel the heat. You feel the movement that nobody else can see. And that is exactly what is happening to you right now — a kundalini force beginning to rise through your body, a sexual and spiritual energy that is real and powerful and necessary, but entirely invisible to the people around you. Your outer life looks the same. You look the same. Your leadership and your teaching have not changed in appearance. But the deep currents are moving. The force that was dormant is becoming active. And you are the only one who knows.

Why this awakening is happening now

Kundalini does not rise randomly. It rises because you have become capable of holding it — because you have done enough work, felt enough, healed enough in some part of yourself that the body has decided: this person is ready. It is not punishment for sexual thoughts. It is not a sign that you are too spiritual and need to come down to earth. It is the opposite. It is your deepest self saying: you have made space for me. You are strong enough now. Let us go deeper.

The force that is rising in you is the same force that allows you to teach with authority, to hold space for others’ transformations, to see what is true in another person’s soul when they cannot see it themselves. The heat that is being applied — the awakening — is happening because you are stepping into real power in your life. You are teaching. You are leading. You are claiming space that you did not claim before. And as that happens, the energy that was coiled at the base of your spine, the energy that sustains all of life, begins to move upward. The surface of the water is still calm — your public life looks unchanged — but the currents beneath are responding to your own rising. You are heating up because you are becoming real.

Meeting the force without letting it wreck you

First: you do not have to channel this into sex. You do not have to express it sexually or find an outlet for it or fix it by acting on it. Kundalini is sexual energy, yes, but it is not the same as sexual desire, and trying to solve it through sexual expression is like trying to put out a fire by pouring gasoline on it. The energy needs to move upward — to your heart, your throat, the crown of your head — not downward and outward. Some people find that a genuinely intimate partnership allows the energy to move between bodies, to be met and held by another person. But you do not need that to be well. You need what all spiritual practice offers: a container, a way to transform the energy rather than be consumed by it.

Second: get real help. If the activation is destabilizing your mind, your sleep, your ability to be present with the people you teach, that is not a reason to think you are too sensitive or too spiritually advanced. That is a reason to reach for a good therapist and someone who understands kundalini specifically — because the body and the mind and the soul are not separate, and what is moving through your nervous system deserves actual grounding work, not just spiritual interpretation. A therapist who understands trauma. Bodywork. Movement. Breath. The steam is real, and it will transform everything it touches — but you do not have to let it burn everything down. The heat beneath the water is not optional, but how you meet it is entirely in your hands. You can work with this force or be driven by it, and the difference is the willingness to show up and tend it like the sacred, powerful thing it is.

What runs through your mind What’s actually true
If I am awakened, shouldn’t I be able to just sit with this without it taking over my mind? The strength is not in being unmoved by the force — it is in tending it carefully, in getting support, in being honest about where you are destabilized and asking for help there.
This energy means I am supposed to find a partner to express it with, or it means I am broken. Kundalini can move through a body in solitude, in relationship, in meditation, in creative work — the form it takes is not fixed by the fact that it is rising.
Shouldn’t spiritual awakening feel peaceful and blissful? Kundalini activation is clarifying and powerful, not always peaceful — and that does not mean something is wrong. It means you are touching the real force underneath everything.
If this energy is that strong, I am too much for the people around me. You are exactly the right amount for the people you are meant to teach and lead — and the energy that feels too big to you will become an asset, not a liability, when it is grounded.

A little help, while you’re here

  • Place your hands flat on the ground or a wall when the activation feels strongest, and feel your own weight against the earth — kundalini rises, but it needs the grounding force of gravity to move safely through you. Do this for three minutes, breathing slowly, feeling where your body is heavy.
  • Write down, without filtering, what the force is wanting to move into — what dreams, what work, what changes in how you show up in the world — because kundalini does not rise for no reason, and the activation is often pointing you toward something you have been holding back.
  • Find one person — a therapist, a somatic practitioner, a mentor who knows this territory — and tell them plainly: ‘I am experiencing kundalini activation and I need help grounding it.’ Do not manage this alone.

The steam that transforms the air

Eventually, the water will boil so completely that the steam rises off the surface, invisible, no longer contained in the pot — and that steam will touch everything around it, will change the temperature of the room, will become part of the air itself. That is where this force is going. Not out of your life. Into everything you do.

Your leadership will be deeper. Your teaching will carry more truth. Your capacity to hold other people will expand — not because you have become more perfect, but because you have let the real force inside you move through you instead of choking it down. The currents that are invisible now, the heat that nobody can see yet, will eventually become the presence that people feel when they sit across from you. They will not know where it comes from. They will only know that you are different — that there is something alive in you, something real, something they can trust.

You are not losing yourself. You are becoming yourself. The water is the same water. It is just being transformed by heat that was always meant to be applied. Let it happen. Tend it. Ask for help. And trust that the force rising in you is the same force that builds worlds.
