Chapter Six — The Name You Carry

The name Ulrich Leonard Tölle was given to this soul at birth. The name Eckhart Tolle was chosen — or arrived, depending on which way you understand the choosing — after the dissolution. Both names are read in the Soul Blueprint, because both are the soul, and the soul is the continuity that runs through the birth and the transformation and the teaching.

The two years on the benches are the element of this biography most often passed over quickly by those narrating it — treated as a transitional phase, a spiritual gestation, a waiting period before the teaching began.
